Profanity is Juvenile

I've long thought that using profanity is juvenile, immature, distasteful, and indicative of having poor self control, low self esteem, and low IQ.

As the saying goes, "Profanity is a crutch for the inarticulate." If you can't express what you are saying with intelligence, finesse, and impact without cursing, then you probably shouldn't be saying it at all. "If you have nothing good to say..."

Not only that, but having a potty mouth sets a bad example for children everywhere. It's inappropriate. Distasteful. It's properly looked down upon in the workplace and will often lead to a discussion with HR where they do their best to calmly encourage to behave.

Would you like your child to begin yelling out cursewords everywhere you go while giggling and laughing? Probably not. So you should set an example not just for your kids but for all of humanity. And besides, you may find that you became more able to explain concepts and ideas with real logic when you eliminate the use of foul trash to try and force your points.

You don't even have to take my word for it. You can just Google any of the following to find studies that convincingly demonstrate that cursing is bad, toxic, infectious, etc:

Cursing isn't impressive. It is a failure to abide by the proper social constraints that separate civilized adults from damp little impulse engines.

You see, I was raised to behave well. To express myself clearly and concisely. To keep my room tidy and organized and also my behavior and speech likewise.

I did not curse in my teenage years, and if my friends did, they were told that they needed to leave because my home was a place where such behavior and speech would not be tolerated. Good people behave well. I'm the very best of people and I insist my friends and acquaintances keep the decorum around me and not lower us all into the mud.

I'm a proud American through and through. In my school I studied George Washington and his ideas and methods. Go read his "Rules of Civility & Decent Behavior in Company". It is foundational to understanding why America is great, and how we can keep it that way. If you'd like a shorter read, check out the related booklet he created "Rules of Civility."

You see, you can choose to be a respectable person with intelligent ideas and principles, or not. I choose the former, because I want to improve the world for all of us.

While you are studying this material, please also consider the additional manners described, such as those related to eating properly, rather than leaving your mouth hanging open with damp fragments of half-chewed food and your yellowed, rotting teeth presented to the room like a neglected historical exhibit.

The descent of modern behavior into squalor and shameful deeds, visible on sites like Reddit, Facebook, and Tinder, reveals the decrepit social norm shift that occurs when people abandon standards and begin mistaking impulse, filth, and public self-display for attention.

That sort of behavior is nothing more than a modern form of the vulgar street whore.

I may be diverging from my core point though a bit excessively.

You see, I believe almost none of the above ridiculous bullcrap. If you want to fucking curse, go right the fuck ahead because I don't really give a damn anymore. I'm a damned adult and am able to differentiate the logical and rhetorical content from the sprinkling of seasoning shit stains that you may spread through your speech or writing.

What matters isn't whether you are a god damned puritanical asshat or not. What matters is if you are capable of treating other people with compassion and making points that matter. When I am bitching endlessly and railing on and shitting on stuff I dislike, I have a point to make. That point isn't lessened by my fucked up shitty language.

I'll grant you that it is distasteful. It's coarse. It's raw. It's overly emotional. It's an exaggeration. I do it for effect, to drive the point home with every ounce of explosive ass force I can. Deal with it.

Also, I think sex workers should be respected and slut-shaming is wrong. If you love sex, awesome. You aren't going to get hate from me over that. To me "fucking" is not a swear. It's a fucking celebration of a core part of humanity you fucker.

Now get the fuck off my lawn you judgemental old cunt.
