GuliKit King Kong 3 Max
Some time ago I bought the GuliKit King Kong 3 Max controller. It looked awesome. The price is much more reasonable than Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers, and it has better tech according to the specs.I got it; it feels awesome and I was able to use it well for a number of games.
Then... some time passed. Now? I can't use it for anything I've tried it for. Well at least on what I tried, which is a Windows PC.
I can't for the life of me get it to work with Steam with its included dongle. Surely that is how I'm supposed to use the thing on a PC? How on earth do you?
The only way I can get Steam to recognize it? Xbox mode via USB.
When I use it that way now? The buttons are broken and don't remain "held down" when I press them. Instead it pulses the button very fast. This breaks many games.
When I move around? Off center from axis. Constantly moving slightly in one direction. I thought this thing was supposed to correct stick drift. Can't figure out how to fix it. It's certainly not obvious.
Maybe you have one of these pieces of junk. Maybe you know the secrets of how to use it. Enlighten me please. Email me and tell me how to use this thing because I can't figure it out. kk3@codechild.com
For now it's a fancy looking brick to me. I've been using a Xbox Elite Series 1, which works okayish until the stick drift kills me. My Series 1 is beginning to drift slightly but not bad enough yet that it is breaking my games.
Speaking of Elite Series 1, I bought another one of the damned things off Facebook Marketplace like 5 years ago. Seller said it was brand new. I went and got and paid for it at the ladies house and went home. It was dirty as hell and completely broken drift wise. I contacted her and demanded my money back. She refused. Completely fradulent. I complained to Facebook Marketplace and they refused to resolve the situation. I never understood that one. I know where she lives ( or did when it happened ). Like... screwing me out of my money for a piece of garbage is not acceptable... I still have that piece of garbage around here somewhere.
The KK3? Awesome idea. Delivery? Thumbs down.
