Exit 8 - Make the game better please

In recent history one of the movies I watched was Exit 8. I waited a long time to watch this as it took a long time to arriving on English streaming.

I did not play the game before watching the movie but I knew about the game. It looked like a fun creepy concept so I was excited to watch the movie.

I watched the movie.

It was pretty good. I liked it. Very small set, but well done imo. Bizarre. Strange. Creepy. Like a messed up dream.

6/10.

It was good enough that I was then interested in playing the game. I went and bought the game and its sequel on Steam. I beat both easily and got all achievements in both. It was not a challenge.

What struck me as bizarre is that the movie is better than the game. That's not something I've seen previously with movies based on games. It may be true of Iron Lung as well though, but I'm not going to play that one to find out.

The main thing that bothered me about the game compared to the movie is that the changes rarely had anything to do with differences in the posters. I think like 3 of the many differences were things on the posters and they were obvious.

I played the game looking for changes in the text, in small characters on the posters, date changes etc. I was looking too hard. The game seems designed to be very easy.

Also don't bother with the sequel to the game. I don't even remember what it is called it was that forettable. Basically similar stuff but on a train carriage, only done in a more lazy way imo.
